Neighborhood Cleanup & Fairfax County/Reston Master Plan Meeting

posted Jun 5, 2014, 10:39 AM by Whisperwood Cluster
A couple of events going on this weekend that residents may be interested in:

1.) Neighborhood Cleanup - It's that time of year for some spring (and summer) cleaning, so we'll be holding a neighborhood cleanup at 10am on Saturday, June 7, as announced at the yearly cluster meeting.  We will be meeting at the parking area  where the Reston path crosses Silentwood Lane.  Hope to see you there!

2.) Also on Saturday, Fairfax County will be holding an Open House from 8:30AM - 10:30AM at  the United Christian Parish Church (11508 North Shore Drive) to explain the goals and proess for Phase 2 of the Reston Master Plan.  Phase 2 covers suburban Reston, virtually all of it covered by the Reston Association Deed.  It will address the future of our neighborhoods, our village centers (excluding Lake Anne), and other selected Reston areas (convenience centers, the business area just north of Baron Cameron Avenue, and more) not covered in the just-completed Phase 1, which re-planned the Metrorail station areas.

If you are interested in the future of Reston, you are welcome to attend this meeting!  More information can be found at the Reston Citizen's Association website and at Fairfax County's Reston Master Plan Special Study.
