The asphalt project in this section of the Cluster is about to begin.  Please note the following:
  • Milling will take place on Monday and Tuesday.  Parking is prohibited between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.  Any vehicles parked in the area at those times will be towed to any available space on Silentwood Lane.
  • Paving will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.  PARKING IS PROHIBITED ON PAVED AREAS FROM 7:00 AM ON WEDNESDAY TO 5:00 PM ON FRIDAY.
  • Paving of the upper part of Whisperwood Glen Lane (past Whisper Way) will take place first on Wednesday.  The lower portion of the parking lots will remain open overnight on Wednesday.  The lower portion of Whisperwood Glen and Whisper Way will then be paved on Thursday, and the whole lot will be closed for Thursday night only.  See the map below for affected areas.  Note that this is subject to change based on weather!  We will keep residents as informed as possible as to schedule changes via door postings, website, and Facebook.

  • You can park your PRIMARY vehicle on Silentwood Lane in any unassigned space.  Please find an alternate parking space for any extra vehicles you may own.
  • There will be NO TRASH PICKUP on THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 18 on Whisperwood Glen Lane or Whisper Way.  You may wish to deposit your trash on Silentwood Lane by the mailboxes, or at the end of the Reston path on the Silentwood side, or must hold over your trash until Monday, September 22. DO NOT put out any trash on Whisperwood Glen Lane or Whisper Way on Thursday!
  • In order to speed up trash collection this Monday, you are requested to put your trash by your mailbox stations on Monday, September 15.
  • DO NOT DRIVE anywhere on Whisperwood Glen Lane or Whisper Way until a sign is posted that says OPEN (sometime on Friday).
  • If you decide to park across South Lakes Drive, or on Ridge Heights Road, please note that you may not park within 15’ of a fire hydrant, and must be 30’ away from a stop sign! Police will enforce.
  • Emergency vehicles will have access to any area at all times of course.
We realize it is very inconvenient to have to relocate your vehicles during this process and we thank you for your understanding!
